Warranty Information

We are proud to say that all the brands we carry at NorthLine have been put to the test by the staff. Our aim is to offer the most durable, quality products. That being said, occasionally there are defects in the manufacturing process and most products have a warranty to ensure that you're covered. Ask a NorthLine staff member about the length of the warranty term on your new gear. This information is usually also available on the manufacturer's website. Used and swap items are not eligible for warranties.

If you wish to apply for a warranty, the first step is to contact us. You can reach us toll-free at 1-800-665-9463 or by email at [email protected]. Of course, if you are nearby feel free to drop by the shop. All warranty decisions are made by the manufacturer. However, if you send us photos or bring your product by the store, we can assess whether it will be eligible. Warranties protect you against manufacturer's defects. Here are some examples of issues that are not covered:

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. sun fading, people running over your ski or board in the lift line)
  • Damage resulting from contact with trees, rocks, rails, etc.
  • Damage resulting from improper care (e.g. product flying off roof racks, storing kites/wings in a hot car or box)
  • Replacing parts that went missing after receiving the item

The next step is to return your faulty product to the manufacturer. If you are near one of our stores, you can drop it off with us. Otherwise, send it back to us with a copy of your receipt. The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

At this point, the manufacturer will decide if your item is eligible for warranty and if so, whether they will send a replacement or offer you a free repair.

Please be patient since the warranty process can take a considerable amount of time. But feel free to call and check on the status of your claim. We strive to complete this process in a timely manner and get you back out on your equipment as soon as possible.
